Madalynn “Matti” Hlatki, a graduate of Calhan High School received the 27th annual Double El Conservation District (CD) scholarship for $500 with a renewable option of $1000.
Matti graduated with a 3.955 GPA. She plans to attend Colorado Mesa University to pursue a degree in Nursing and minor in Anthropology.
Upon completion of college she plans to work as a trauma nurse and be a medical missionary. She was involved in many school and community activities including the following:
HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America for Future Health Professionals) where she received many state awards; National Honor Society; Lions Club; Track & Field; Cross County; 4-H, member of St Mary’s Orthodox Church and mission trip participant; plus part-time employment.
She is the daughter of Mike & Debby Hlatki of Calhan, Colorado.
