Friday, April 22nd, is deadline to order seedling trees in 2016. The seedling trees are provided at production cost to landowners through “Trees for Conservation” program sponsored by Colorado State Forest Service Nursery in Ft. Collins.
There are over 35 different varieties of deciduous trees and about 15 different varieties of conifer trees. Bareroot trees are available in lots of 25 for $26 and the potted trees are available in lots of 30 for $76. Tree distribution will be Friday, May 13th in Simla, Colorado.
Tree plantings not only beautify your land, they provide your home with energy savings and stop blowing and drifting snow. Trees are a major element in combating global warming. Did you know one tree can remove 26 pounds of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere? They also remove pollutants from the air. So hurry and place your tree order.
