Autumn Blaze maple is a hybrid that mixes the excellent traits of its’ parents, The Silver Maple and the Red Maple.
Has some drought tolerance, rapid growth rate, beautiful red fall colors and has historically withstood heavy snows that exacted a heavy toll on nearby Silver Maple populations.
Autumn Blaze Maple has also proven to survive temperature fluctuations, but is susceptible to tip die back in extreme seasonal swings of temperature. It holds value for wildlife by providing food for birds and other small mammals.
