Each year, prior to the opening of our CSFS Trees for Conservation Program, we look to past years’ numbers and place reservations for the expected number of tree species we project will supply our customers’ needs.
We Like Being a Good Neighbor
This year, the Colorado State Forest Service Nursery had visiting voles, small, pudgy rodents who took a bite out of the inventory that serves our state.
We currently hold reserved stock for many of the short-inventory, popular species – and our Colorado neighbors will be unable to order if we choose to hold on to un-sold reserves come February 27th, instead of releasing back to inventory to meet existing requests current inventory cannot meet.
We like to run a tight, efficient operation. By planning well, we can better utilize our resources to aide you in a multitude of areas. If we keep the stock reserves and don’t sell them, well… we shall incur needless costs while others in Colorado who could have put the stock to good use, will do without this year.

If you know you want to order, but are waiting on your tax refund and/or still researching, fleshing out your plans for this year, please call, stop by or drop us a line to let us know you’re interested in purchasing, so we may serve our customers the best, without wasting resources – we have mentioned we are really into Conserving Resources, right?
You can also choose to place your order online, but choose the ‘Pay Offline’ option – This helps us to gauge better stock to reserve and gives you the freedom to drop-off, call in or mail your order payment, at a later date.
