Each year, prior to the opening of our CSFS Trees for Conservation Program, we look to past years’ numbers and place reservations for the expected number of tree species we project will supply our customers’ needs.
Although we currently have available stock to fulfill projected/expected orders for our Seedling Tree Program from those species available that are perennial favorites of our customers – we do have to make a decision by Friday, March 11th – on whether to keep all our reserved stock or turn some of it back in.
Why are we letting you know about this and asking for your help?
There are some items, currently, if we turn back in, will quickly be redistributed to other areas, as CSFS Nursery has no additional stock left to fill requests, unless/until we or other conservation districts release holds on our reservations placed last fall.
We also like to run a tight, efficient operation – by planning well, we can better utilize our resources to aide you in a multitude of areas – if we keep the stock, don’t sell it, well… it’s our stock now and we’ll be doing some juggling to put it to good use, without incurring extra maintenance/care costs –
So, here’s the list of items we currently hold reservations for, but will have to make a decision by Friday on how much to keep and how much to return to let our other Colorado neighbors order –
If you know you want to order, but are waiting on your tax refund and/or still researching, fleshing out your plans for this year, please call, stop by or drop us a line to let us know you’re interested in purchasing, so we may serve our customers the best, without wasting resources – we have mentioned we are really into Conserving Resources, right?
You can also choose to place your order online, but choose the ‘Pay Offline’ option – This helps us to gauge better stock to reserve and gives you the freedom to drop-off, call in or mail your order payment, at a later date.
Thanks for your help and for spreading the word!
