Tall tree, adaptable to wide range of soils, including alkali. low drought tolerant; tough seed pods. Due to over harvesting, low-germination rates of seeds in nature, this species is rare and you contribute to its continued existence by choosing to give it a home.
Best used as shade tree, it is water thrifty and has excellent cold hardiness. Adapted a wide variety of soils, it is a good choice for harsh or difficult sites.
