Winter hardy, medium shrub with edible fruit; below 8,000′ elev. Fast growing, but short lived and moderate drought tolerance.
Known for it’s showy white flowers and edible fruit, Nanking cherry can be planted on the leeward side of mulit-row plantings.
It is not recommended for planting in single-row windbreaks. Good wildlife species that has performed well in the Double El district area.
